My Rap

When you use fertilizer make sure after you use your hand sanitizer. Cutting down trees for a view may be nice but then you will find the consequences of life.

Farmers destroy habitats for eels and whitebait that make topographers faint.
farmers get rid of trees for paddocks to be clear but with flair.

farmers grow food pork and meat but if they get hungry hopefully they don't eat my feet.

My Netbook Reflection 2013

How has having a netbook connected to the internet helped my learning this year?

  • What special thing have you learnt from your teacher this year? How to measure the area of a triangle and a square.
  • What significant thing have you learnt all by yourself - maybe online. How to make improper fractions into proper fractions example: 1⅖ (proper fraction)is the same as 7/5(improper fraction).
  • What have you learnt from your friend this year. I’ve learnt how to read with expression.
  • What have you learnt from someone outside of your classroom this year (ie not teacher or classmate).
  • How have you helped other kids learn this year. By helping them with their reading that we did this year.
  • How have you grown your key competencies through using digital tools this year.

This year MR Marks taught me how to measure the area of a triangle and a square. One thing that I learnt all by myself is how to make improper fractions into proper fractions example: 1⅖ (proper fraction) is the same as 7/5 (improper fraction). Some things you Just know but some things you need help with and what is a better way to need help than to have help from a friend. What I've learnt from a friend this year is how to read with better expression.

Please Can I Be An Ambassador

The reason why I would like to be an ambassador is because I think that I can talk with expression and I am not shy. I have presented on PENN, in class movies, the school production and shared my learning with my peers. I can improvise and fill in for people like I've done on PENN.

I would like to travel around New Zealand and meet new people and get to know them. I can get to school on time and I love my learning now and I'm stuck into reading and maths.

I think I'm good for the job because well because I think I'm good with words and another reason is because all the rest is probably in the first paragraph. The other thing is my mum will be mad with me if I don't make it in.

Learn create share is the way to go at school it's where we do our learning on, here is a link to my Maths DLO. Here is another link to my writing about a fox and a farmer. In extension it is cool because the extension kids have heaps of fun with Mrs Tele'a this link is to show you how Halloween came to be. 2013 has been a great year it has been cool because chrome books are the newest thing yet to come but I've  seen these new laptops maybe you could create a laptop some day. (Fingers and toes crossed hopefully i will be an ambassador).

Halloween Research

  • Lollies
  • Jack O Lantern
  • scary costumes
  • baskets
  • kids running around
  • Freaky masks
  • Pumpkin
  • Fun (for some people)
  • Trick or Treat
  • Scary Masks

What I think Halloween is about is I think it’s about trick or treating but do you know how it all started, it started in the United Kingdom and carried on to countries all around the world. If you go on youtube and watch History Channel The Real Story of Halloween Part 1 of 3. There is one day Lemuria Where in a Roman calendar May the Thirteenth and Pigeons gave the dead milk and cakes to the dead to keep them in their graves.

But what is awesome is that christians changed Lemuria to All Saints Day which is christianity style! The Harvest Festival was once called Samhain but you say it like Selwyn then the name started to change to All Hallows Evening then again changed to All Hallows Even then changed to Halloween wow!

Athletics Non Edited Version

Matatua, Te Aroha, Takitimu and Tainui can you guess what I’m talking about. Athletics, it is something we kids at Point England School love to do. Every year on November each Friday we do athletics there are all types of stuff like Sprints, Discus, Shot Put, Triple Jump but my favourite and should be everyones favourite HIGH JUMP woo hoo! The cool thing about this year in High Jump is I did so well and came 1st.

Sprints, was after High Jump I’m kinda good at Sprints but not the best. That day was fun but fireworks is better. But lets stick to the story. The rest of the day it was kinda cool but I think that next year could be better.

This is my non edited version

I Heard A Whisper But No One Was There

Bah boom bah boom bah boom, foot steps trampled down the gravel foot path with their heavy boots with shovels ready to swing back at all the cow pat that came flying at them. These three men were the bosses of the farm, and every once and a while they would all song I’m a farmer and I grow it, they did the little bogie then back to work. This farm was passed down from generation to generation so this farm is quite old but on this farm there are sometimes weird noises but they only happen once a century.

One day on a warm summers morning the three men named, Healy, Kealy and Calvin all heard a weird sound it was like a whisper. “What was that”, Healy whispered to Kealy. “I don’t know”, answered Kealy then Calvin said, “That must be someone but who” “you mean what was whispering look”, Healy said. Then they all looked at what Healy was pointing at, he was pointing at a long thin animal with long red streamy fur it was a fox. But did they know that for certain, maybe they were mistaken?

The men carried on doing their normal jobs but always remembered that fox and kept a close eye on that little animal. Finally the next morning the fox was gone then the men raced to the spot where they last sare the fox he was gone! Searching every where the farmers still had no hope finding that little guy. What’s that sound, the men heard it again they went to where they heard the sound and guess who was there that long fox with the streamy red flowing fur. But they still haven’t figured out who was whispering then the sound was right there the FOX was whispering!

What the fox wanted is he wanted to have a party with the whole farm including the men. So that night the whole farm went into the barn and sang songs and also danced but the most exciting song that everyone loved was from the fox and this is how it goes. Dog goes woof, Cat goes meow, Bird goes tweet and mouse goes squeak, but there’s a sound that no one knows what does the fox say, ning ning ning ning ning ning ning ning ning ning ning ning ning what the fox say wha pa pa pa pa pa pow what does the fox say.
Then the song finished and that was the end of the show and the end of the story.

Good bye!!!

The Plane Trip

Once upon a time in Australia there lived the Brown family. They have been living on the Aussie grounds for five years. Now they’re tired of living in Australia and want to go back home to New Zealand where they came from(they’re New Zealanders). First of all they miss their friends, and second of all they miss the beach.

There’s some reason why they like the beach at NZ better than Aussie. In the morning as the warm tentacles of the sun wrapped around the brown family's bedrooms they woke up to the Delightful sound of Mrs brown calling across the hallway saying these words, “Kids I have got a special treat for you we are going back home”. Right at that moment the Collin and Zane were startled and had to rush to their mum and give her a big sloppy kiss.

“Oh no here comes dad again” Collin and Zane both said, Mr brown almost always says a big fat NO!!! Collin sighed and said well that idea’s gone. Then Mrs Brown quietly said, “go and make your beds boys” “yes mum” the boys replied. The dad agreed to go he jumped into the boys room and said, “come on lets pack” the boys were startled “yes sir” the boys suggested.

So the boys packed their stuff as fast as there hands could fold. They carried their bags and in five hours they were finished man that’s fast. Now for the finishing touch they closed the car door but as they did you know the dad Mr Brown he was also lazy he only helped getting all the stuff in the trucks and cars, but at that time he was watching TV then suddenly on every channel it said that their was a huge storm was coming they also said that it would be too dangerous for any planes or helicopters allowed to fly at this time. Mr Brown was so sad but then the night felt quick.

In the morning it was a beautiful morning and they were of and rolling to the airport. When they got their they felt home already. When they got home they felt lovely and they lived happily ever after.

There's Something Mysteries Going On In This Farm

Once upon a time on a farm there lived a man named Bill he owned the farm and he was very proud of it. When the sun shone through the curtains that morning the old man said cheerfully “ahhh what a beautiful morning” and it was a beautiful morning. Bills farm is lovely but there’s one problem the plants are dying and the animals are getting hungry Bill has to save his farm and keep the animals from dying but the doctors says that if Bill doesn't feed his cows soon bills cows will be nothing but forgotten dreams.

So Bill gets to work he tries his hardest to feed his crops and feed his cows. Bill shivered and said, “where is some cow pat” ewww do you know what cow pat is it’s it poo. so after that it’s time to go to work. So he worked hard all day long trying his hardest to do his best job.

Swimming At The Beach

The warm touches of the water trickled down my back. It was so warm I was willing to do it more than ever before. Guess what I did next? I put my head under again.

Suddenly my elder brother Levi had a brilliant idea to race to a green post which was covered with oysters in the sea. The race was fun. Levi won but we were safe because we wore life jackets. The oysters were slippery and slimy as I reached out and touched it and it felt like Jellyfishes body (and I have felt a Jellyfishes body).

Father's Day

When the moon sparkled and the stars lit the sky then I knew that right then it was only one sleep away from FATHER'S DAY! So that night I watched a movie called IP Man 2 and it's all about this Wing Chun person who is really skilled at Wing Chun, then after the movie I quickly hopped into bed. I tried and tried and tried so hard to get to sleep but it was no use it takes me forever to get to sleep now I can't go to sleep at 7 o'clock any more because of it. Then I finally got to sleep. I yawned from my sleep and realized that it was FATHER'S DAY I just couldn't wait to go to church because I was running it with the Dynamite Bay kids (kids program at church) and I was a worship leader.

After church Shannon (Mum) had to drop the Villi girls off at their house because their mother had just got back from Christ Church and she was too tired to pick them up. Twenty minutes past and still mum hasn't returned to pick us up, then I had an idea “Dad we could walk home,” then Anthony (Dad) agreed to walk us home “But only until Mum comes back.” “OK,” we all replied and started walking home. Then Mum came “oh” I sighed.

Home at last it was good lying down on the big yellow couch, that couch is relaxing. Then I just remembered that the cousins were coming over, I was kinda glad. Then I remembered another thing I was going over to my other cousins house for dinner “yes” I said quietly to myself. After the cousins left time for the next cousins “It just never ends does it.” I arrived at the cuzzies and as I walked threw the door Latte the dog jumped at me and barked and barked, he is so fun.

That night I had so much fun and excitement and so did my brothers. I would definitely want to do that again. After I went home exhausted from all that awesomeness “Good night.”

Rhyming Couplets

A couplet is a two-line poem. The last word of each line rhymes

1.One day I saw my dad,And he was very glad.

2.One day at the zoo I saw a parrot,Then I gave him a carrot

3.One day I heard a buzz buzz and it was coming from a tree,Then I discovered that it was a little honey bee.

Matarangi

"Yippee" I cheerfully said, as I packed my bag and hopped into the car. As fast as a lightning bolt striking the ground, Shannon Samuels (Mum) zoomed onto the motorway, and the journey had begun. About three quarters of the way some fins popped up out of the ocean. At first Levi and I both thought that they were a family of sharks, but just after I said that, one of them jumped out of the water. It was then we realised that they were dolphins and they looked amazing. Oh no! Soon afterward my stomach felt sore and you know what that means... sickness! After a while I felt alright and we got there eventually.

After we unpacked our sleeping bags, it was time to go for a nice cool down swim at the beach. Once we arrived at the lovely beach and saw the beautiful view, we were supposed to go crab hunting, however I wanted to stay and have a swim because it was nice and cool in the water. Finally we came back to the bach for lunch. Then we went long boarding down to the tennis court and back. It was very fun and relaxing.

TODAY I AM LEAVING THIS LOVELY PLACE SO GOOD BYE FOR NOW. ADIOS AMIGOS=)

All About Whales

Whales are the largest sea creatures in the entire ocean. They also have a streamlined body that helps them cut through the water there flippers help them to steer through the rugged sea. Whales also have a thick layer of blubber that helps them to keep warm in the freezing cold temperatures.

Rippa Rugby Tournament at Eden Park

Today  at Eden Park I am here to support the PT England Rip pa Rugby team against all of the other winners of each School in Auckland. It is going to be a tough job to do because they are going up against Holy Cross Holy Cross is a very hard school to beat. Sadly we lost against them and onto our next game we go. It’s was also my first time at Eden Park everyone else had been to Eden Park before except for me so it was very exciting for me.

Our second game came it was sort of a close score PT England School got five points North land got two points. Few that was a
close one. I’m glad they didn’t lose that game because if they did they would be further away from victory.

The third and final game but this game is different than the others this one is in the actual stadium. Wow the stadium is ginormous I wonder how big a football field is compared to this amazing field. The games have started PT England are winning Tame slips and slides and falls over but gets back up again and again another try goes down. The horn blew PT England won that game but came third place at least they gave it their best shot.

We came home with smiles on our faces from check to check woo.

My Graph

As you get deeper in the Antarctic water it gets warmer.

The Arrival

Zoom, zoom, dodging, slipping past cars, my mum was determined to get to the airport in time for the arrival. My dad's coming home from America and it's exciting! Unfortunately we were too late but we got to have a drink at the Airport Mc Donalds and we were back on the road.

I was thrilled to hear that we were going to meet dad at the Panmure Mc Donalds for breakfast. My favourite food in the morning is pancakes and my younger brothers like pancakes too. We had fun at Mc Donalds. We like to play tag on the park and I love to go down the twisty twirly slide.

After that we went home to play on our xbox. It's so cool I played a rugby game on the xbox with my brothers. Me and Noah are the All Blacks and Levi and Toby are the Crusaders. I always win unless I decide to go easy on Toby and decide not to tackle him and let him get a run away.

I am glad my dad got home safe and sound and that all of his luggage made it safely home too.

The Amazing Visitor

WilI.I.Am visits Pt England School from SchoolTV on Vimeo.

Today was an exciting moment for me because for the first time ever WILL..I.AM came to our school. What was awasome was that he gave $100,000 for all of the maniakalani schools but the most importent thing was that Will.I.Am came here to our school. but it was a huge surprise that he came all the way from California Los Angeles in a housing project I was just overwhelmed by his arrival it was amazing. he was so cool but the most important the that inspired me was that WILL.I.AM said “try to choose the best freinds you can” but I think I do hve the best freinds for now.

It was cool to see WILL.I.AM and the gift he gave us. That gift would be handy for allot of things. It was totally awesome having WILL.I.AM at our school.
THANK YOU WILL.I.AM

Wild Antarctica

Icy deserts extremely cold packet of ice can you guess what place it is on earth? ANTARCTICA the coldest place on the planet it can have freezing cold temperatures that if you went outside you would be frozen in minutes maybe even seconds. An interesting fact that i’ve heard is the deeper you go the warmer it gets because the closer you get to the bottom of the freezing sea you get closer to the earths core which has boiling hot magma inside it.

Now for my favourite bit the WILDLIFE the ferocious animals of Antarctica there are allot of penguins the biggest penguin is the Emperor penguin. There are some fearsome leopard seals but there is one that is more fearsome than the leopard seal? That one never gets eaten but kills all the other creatures in the antarctic ocean and that deadly creature is the orca aka killer whale the most ferocious it can be so scary.

My Omaru Creek Map

My Omaru Creek Map from Team 4 Pes on Vimeo.

What The....?

On a dark and spooky night there were strange noises but on the other side there was a town and as I was walking past  a power line but there hanging on that power line was a poor baby elephant! I called the Fire Engines to come and help get the elephant down but they could not get the elephant down. They tried everything but it never worked.

Then they tried calling the police and the ambulance but they couldn't get the elephant down. They tried so hard but it was no use. So they only had one more option and this one is not like the other ones it’s quite weird this oone but it’s worth a shot.

THE CIRCUS!!! told you so it is weird. but once the Circus came the man was happy to see his lost elephant but not happy to see him on the power line. The Circus man said how did my elephant get up there but I said I don’t know how he got up there sir. So the Circus man bring out a trampoline and told the elephant to jump but the elephant was scared and  was on a power line that was 50 feet of the ground and just jumped and was safe and sound again.

So now the elephant can do what he needs to do in the Circus. Finally some peace and quiet. Hope you enjoyed my writing, you shall hear from me soon maybe?

Fiafia

The night has come for all the hard work that we have been for this very moment here at PT England school. All the parents and teachers have gathered here tonight to celebrate the 60 Anniversary! It's exciting to have this kind of celebration it's called Fiafia.

The first item was performed by the one and only Kapahaka group. My very own brother Toby Samuels. He was so cute up there. He was so shy.

The night was almost over but now it's time to do my performance. "So now the senior Hip hoppers" Vivienne said. I was shivering in my shoes as I walked onto the stage there were thousands of people they were staring at us waiting. The music played and the dance went well. After all of the performances the children went to their changing rooms to grab there stuff and out the door the door we go.

So that was a great night and I went home with a smile on my face feeling proud YEH!
