Winter Learning Journey Bonus 1 Week 1

Bonus: During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games. In your opinion, is this a fair rule? Why or why not? On your blog please tell us what you think about this interesting rule.

It goes both ways. No, because women should be able to see their loved ones play and fight and win. Not stand outside the stadium and wait. Back then women weren't treated with respect and women should always be treated with respect. But also yes because men used to run fight and ride horses naked so it would be very inapropriate if ladies were in a stadium with a lot of naked men.

  1. Hi Jordan,

Great post, glad to see that you are committed to doing the Winter Learning Journey! I agree with you that women should be respected. After all, they did give birth to us!

    Keep it up

  2. Hi Jordan (and Iisa!)

I really appreciate the thought and effort that you went to, Jordan, to write your response to this activity. It is certainly a difficult question and you clearly considered it carefully. Awesome :)

I also really appreciate Iisa's feedback and comment. I completely agree with both of you that women deserve total respect and should be treated with the utmost care and love. I do, however, appreciate that competing with men in events like wrestling and boxing may not have been a very good (or safe) idea.

Great thinking, Jordan. Keep up the fabulous work!

    Cheers, Rachel
