Easter’s True Meaning to Me

Don’t you always love it when easter comes and you eat chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs (even though they make no sense, bunnies don’t lay eggs), and everyone has a good time talking about what they did last week and how funny it was. Have you ever thought about the true meaning of Easter?

About the man who saved us, who made us right? The one, the only, Jesus Christ who came to save us. Have you ever thought about Easter being more than just chocolate and seeing old friends and family? In this story I shall be telling you about what Easter means to me and also the true meaning to me.

This year when I celebrate Easter, I’ll be thinking about what really happened, what it was like and maybe have a few chocolates on the side. But what I think the true meaning of Easter is, is about the crucifixion of Jesus and when he rose on the third day. My family and I normally spend Friday morning in celebration, but also remembrance of what Jesus did for us. He died on a cross to take away our sins, and so now that he’s done that, we can be with him.

So this Easter, when you think about buying Easter eggs or going on an Easter egg hunt at the Auckland Domain, think about what the true meaning of Easter is. It’s still okay to eat chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs, or go and see relatives. But I encourage you to keep in mind about Jesus and the real meaning of Easter. Also, you could even tell your friends about Easter. How cool is that! So now that you’ve heard about Easter’s true meaning to me, what’s Easter’s true meaning to you?

A Flash Mob

Walking casually toward the table in the street acting like it was a perfectly normal day, discovering that it was Mrs Telea’s Birthday we were doing a dance and believe me you don’t have to be Samoan to do so. The music started and all of room 3 out of nowhere started dancing with the sound of choo - hoo. The street was rumbling with cheers and clapping.

Everyone got up to look at what was happening, because something attracted so much attention. We all formed a circle and Mrs Tele’a did a Samoan Siva and we were supporting her. She was the star and we were dancing around here.

Mr Wiseman thought that he could match Mrs Tele’a but to be honest he wasn't that good! She was beautiful, he was ugly, they both danced and then all the students got up and danced. Some were very shy and couldn't do it, others just wanted to let it out and dance. I didn't know how to dance Samoan but at least I tried.

NRL Nines

In the Christmas holidays I got to go to the Auckland nines fans zone on Saturday and it was wicked. I loved it, I was a member, and that meant free food and drink. It also meant that when the teams had finished the signatures they would come to the members lounge and you could have a chat to them or take photos with them, choice!

If you go on the nrl.com site and then go to videos and then scroll to the bottom and keep turning the page until you get to the "Meet the Nines fans". Anyway the day ways hot, sticky but awesome. It was worth it! I hung out with family and a couple of friends. We had so much fun that day, everything was so awesome. Except for the weather, too hot!

I had the chance to met and take a photo with Chanel Mata'utia and he was really cool. I got signatures from Panthers, Rabbitohs, Rosters, Knights and Sea Eagles. This is Chanel's wiki page if you want to learn more about him. Just some extra information?

The Mysterios Fly

There's a story where adults used to tell there children about a fly that had a mission to get supply's for him, his family and everyfly else. For you and me it would be pretty easy, we could just ask for food but fly's are normally THE food! So you see that they would have a hard time living but what the kids and parents don't know is that all of the story's are real and whoever tells it wrong will have a terrible life!

So one early morning in there nest the fly's are doing what they're doing and suddenly a snake attacked the nest and it was terrible. Most fly's were gone! But what was gone for certain was all the food and water supply, just everything gone. So Smackaflyapants (Smack-a-fly-a-pants) said that he would find some food and bring it back for everyone but he had to be quick or else every fly would die.

So Smackaflyapants was on his way and remember that there was no food of water so he couldn't have a pack full of deliciousness because they didn't have any to give him.  That means Smackaflyapants had to hurry off now at this very moment to get to his destination.

On his way there he encountered a few things, mice, rats, big dogs, cats and of course humans. But then when he got to a particular part of his journey he met a great big snake. This snake was huge even for me, it had a sharp back with all the scales on it, big long fangs and black beady eyes. It was getting ready to attack the helpless fly!

Our class was learning about the living things in our school  environment.  We had lots of caterpillars in our class and watched them hatch into Monarch butterflies.

My Coordinates Challenge

This is my coordinates challenge that I did in maths. I will tell you the questions step by step and these are the answers that I tried out and hopefully got it right.

1.The letters at 

(1,1), (1,2) and (1,3) are all symmetrical about a vertical line.

2.The letter at 

(4,2) is not symmetrical in any way.

3.The letters at 

(1,1), (2,1) and (3,1) are symmetrical about a horizontal line.

4.The letters at 

(0,2), (2,0) have rotational symmetry.

5.The letter at 

(3,1) consists of just straight lines.

6.The letters at 

(3,3) and 
(2,0) consist of just curved lines.

7.The letters at 

(3,3), (3,2) and (3,1) are consecutive in the alphabet.

8.The letters at 

(0,2) and (1,2) are at the two ends of the alphabet.

Wits Explanation

Have you ever heard of the word W.I.T.S well you probably haven't because it comes from our school. W.I.T.S means Walk away, Ignore it, Talk about it and Seek help.

Coming back to the word W.I.T.S have you ever wondered what the W stands for? Well I’m here to tell you so don’t read your books or play video games stay tuned and listen to what I have to say. W what a wonderful letter the letter W stands for Walk Away you might wonder why would you need to Walk Away Well lets say that someone is bullying you or saying mean things about you all you need to do is Walk Away. If you want to know what the other awesome letters of the alphabet means then read along.

Okay, now for the letter I the letter I stands for ignore it. To ignore it is to not listen to someone when they are swearing at you or saying mean things about you then you just ignore it that’s being a role model. so don’t swear or say something bad because you’ll get into trouble.

Talk to people that you no like teacher mum dad but try to talk to the bully but make it a positive not a negative if it was a negative he might not forgive you. If it was positive he might forgive you and then you could become friends.

When it gets to hard you can seek help by telling the teacher then the teacher will solve the problem but as I said before it’s better than going on detention and do not go straight away try the other steps seek is like the last thing to do but this is when you have nothing else to do out of Walk Away, Ignore It or Talk About It you find a teacher.

How can this help you this can help by all problems because it helps it can help it can help because if you are encouraged to have a fight you can do all of those things and I can promise you that using your WITS will help you. So enough from me just remember USE YOUR WITS!
